September is turning into an exciting month.
First, the American Council of the Blind of Maine
- (ACB Maine) has joined the North Star Works association. This has
been some time in development, but the initial web page has been
established. The new website is in the last stages of review, but is
visible at this link - ACB Maine
Of course there will be some edits and changes as we move forward, but the website is there and ready for use.
Second, The Exchange is going live this week. The Exchange is the digital financial system for North Star Works. Setting this up required months of research and planning. We are using the Stripe financial payments system - in part because they were so helpful in setting it all in motion. This system will allow any North Star Works members to engage in simple digital commerce. If you wish to collect donations, sponsor an event or conference, collect for a meal, or collect for membership this system will easily permit that exchange.
Use of The Exchange is entirely optional and determined by each individual North Star association.
